An unwavering dedication to quality and innovation has made ADM Animal Nutrition™ a leading provider of nutritional supplements and feeds for livestock and specialty animals. We’ve been in the feed industry for more than a century, with roots tracing back to the late 1800s. Since this time, we’ve been committed to quality and products that work.
In the early 1990s, ADM Animal Nutrition™ built the largest Lysine plant in the world to supply essential amino acids to the animal feed industry. Used appropriately, supplemental amino acids reduce the amount of crude protein needed, thus lowering diet costs.
By the late 1990s, ADM purchased MoorMan’s®—a family-run business established in 1885 focusing on high-quality, researched-based products for the animal feed industry. This acquisition was followed by the purchase of Consolidated Nutrition®, which included SuperSweet®, Master Mix® and Tindle Feeds® brands.

At ADM Animal nutrition we believe horses should be fed the way nature intended, with large amounts of forage making up the majority of the diet. That is why we always put Forage First. We understand that today’s equines require more than forage can provide (no matter how good). That is where the ADM Forage First Equine feeds come in. Designed to provide the essential nutrients that are lacking in forage, ADM equine feeds can meet the needs of your equine partner without loading them up on the unnecessary things their bodies can’t use. Patriot Feeds
ADM’s Patriot Feeds are formulated for today’s performance horses using the latest scientific data. Patriot utilizes GROSTRONG® Minerals, multiple sources of high-quality protein, quality grains, highly digestible fiber sources, and added vegetable fats to provide balanced nutrition for horses. With this combination, horses can be healthy and perform at their best with less risk of metabolic and digestive disorders. Where forage supplies are limited or of poor quality, choose one of the complete feeds in the Patriot line-up of products.
What’s unique about Patriot Feeds?
- Limited starch formulations – Combination of highly digestible, fermentable fiber and vegetable oil sources with limited amounts of high-quality grains lowers starch content of the diet compared to many traditional horse feeds, while at the same time provides energy that is highly utilizable by the horse
- Complete GROSTRONG® mineral-vitamin package of 28 minerals, vitamins and electrolytes (including salt and biotin) in appropriate ratios and amounts specifically formulated for horses
